"Great Shipwreck Of Life"

That title pretty much sums it up, I took it from the latest IAMX album, The Kingdom Of Welcome Addiction, I highly recommend it. It's a song about things not quite working out the way you expected. At least that's what I've gotten from it, I wish I could report that things are going well, but they're not. Now, I've also drawn this picture, hopefully it'll shine some light into the situation. I don't know where things are going right now, I'm feeling fairly horrible, perhaps this weekends road trip through southeastern Utah will help. We're searching for ghosts, but maybe I'll also learn to see some ghost that haunt me on a daily basis.

  1. Nicely done on the very grim man.

I'm sorry to hear that things aren't going so well!!! I don't know what is going on but I really do hope that you can find some peace of mind. Feeling lost in life is miserable.

Ghost hunting..... I miss that!!! Well, I hope you find the ghosts you are looking for and have a good time!

Love ya and hope things come together for you!

  2. He is rather grim and ghostly, thanks, it was a catharsis for me, because I've been trying to find where I'm going.

*sigh* It's okay, I didn't get the premotion @ work, and I just don't know what I'm doing lately.

Thanks a bunch, you're awesome, love you too.

  3. I know this feeling, of being lost and not knowing where to go. One thing that helps me when i feel like this is too focus on where I am. Instead of looking at where to go, or worrying about not know the direction my life is taking, I focus on "where am I now?" and "What has led up to this." Once I fully understand where I am it helps me see the options and paths open to me from that spot. Because even when we are lost, we can still look down at our feet and see what's under them. And knowing that is the first step in understanding where you are.

As for the picture I like it. I know how hard it is to try and draw or paint with black and white tones. I think it was a success on your part. Far better then I can do with it. To me he looks like he is stepping out of the darkness. Like a nocturnal animal coming up from a cave into the light. I like it alot actually.

  4. Fox - I'd say that I do know where I am, but sometimes that is a scary place to be, I know that sounds childish, but honestly.. Yeah. And no it has nothing to do with my relationship, this one is all about me, I suppose that is what these blogs are for right, just throwing random thoughts out there?

Thanks for the compliments, it means a lot coming from you, I've really liked working with hard contrasts, black and white.
