So today I'm fidgety as all hell, I decided to quit smoking again, it seemed like the right thing to do, because I am pretty sick of smoking. Around this time last year I actually quit, and stayed away from them for 5-6 months, it was wake up call, I've been smoking for the last.. God... 7-8 years of my life? Anyways, I'm fiending pretty badly for a cigarette right now, so I thought I'd blog about it, haha.. It's like I could be running out and buying a pack of cigs right now, but instead I'll annoy the random person who might just stumble across this blog. But what the hell, I know I'm not the only one who smokes cigarettes, so I'm sure some of you can relate to the way I feel right now. A close friend of mine is also quitting so we're trying to support eachother, and it's always easier that way. Although last year.. I was all on my own when quitting. So yeah I'm hoping he'll make it because I know how badly he wants to quit, we even smoked our last cigs together last night, and I hope it meant something, not just another meaningless failure or attempt. My incentive to quit is the money I save from smoking, yeah sure it's also healthier on my lungs, but the price for cigs these days is rediculous, and given the current state of the economy, resources are tight. Also my beautiful girlfriend, isn't so fond of the smell.. I don't blame her for that.
Cheers,

You can do it! You've done it before - you can do it again. I know it'll be hard at first but it will start getting easier. Then you'll start feeling better, food will taste better, you'll find it easier to swim when we go swimming and you'll save tons of money you could use to get more PS3 games ^_^ Besides, now that smoking's illegal in bars you won't have problems with the cigarette smoke when we go dancing :)
ReplyDeleteIt's insane, Seth and I are both going crazy here today, I think Seth is getting it worse than I am though, he looks like hell, but we're both holding out. ;p Yeah and those things are huge motivation factors, believe me.
ReplyDeleteDude, I'm glad to see you on blogger. I'm glad to see you're quitting smoking too. Hopefully that's still going well. We miss you guys. We're hoping to be able to come up to the Tavernacle next weekend to hang out. We'll see how that works out. Anyways, hang in there. Tell Seth to hang in there. I'll send all my anti-addiction vibes your way.
ReplyDeleteYeah I joined the blogger community, and actually the quitting is going well, still fidgety as fuck, but I'm off the cigarettes, I'll still have a prime time once a day, it's getting easier each day though and then I'll be smoke free. Seth's had a hard time, but he's cutting back quite a bit. Hope to see you guys @ the Tavernacle, I miss you guys too!
